Who is responsible

This website is run by Shahin Endregard Hemat ("shahin"), Oslo, Norway, who is the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach me at wemattermgmt@gmail.com.

What I collect, and why

Contact form. When you send a message I store your name, your email address, your message and the date you sent it. I use this only to read and reply to you. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me.

Newsletter. When you sign up I store your email address, optionally your country, and the date you signed up. I use this only to send you updates about my music. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Spam and abuse protection. Both forms use Google reCAPTCHA, and both are rate limited per IP address. This means your IP address is processed when you submit a form, and Google receives your IP address and interaction data as part of reCAPTCHA. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the forms from being abused. Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

I do not sell your data, I do not share it with advertisers, and I do not use it to build profiles about you.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored in a MongoDB database, and the site is hosted on Vercel. Both are third-party providers that process data on my behalf, and both may store or process data outside Norway and the EEA.

How long I keep it

Contact messages are kept for as long as I may reasonably need them to follow up on the conversation. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you ask to be removed.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what data I hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to ask me to restrict or stop processing it, and to receive a copy of it. If you signed up for the newsletter, you can withdraw your consent at any time.

To do any of these, or to be removed from the newsletter, email wemattermgmt@gmail.com and I will take care of it.

If you think I am handling your data wrongly, you have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).

Changes

If I change how this site handles personal data, I will update this page and the date at the top of it.
